Product Description

Tungsten alloy rod is produced by mixing and pressing tungsten and other metal powders and sintering them into semi-product billets, which is worked by rolling or swaging into rod. It can be produced into any lengths as per requirement of customer with a smooth surface at diameters more than 3mm, and diameter of hollow tube wall is below 3mm. Tungsten alloy rod can be machined into hollow type. Specific lengths and special fabrications can be supplied upon request.


Applications for Tungsten Alloy Rod

We have a large amount of tungsten alloy rod stock for sale. Most of the major applications for tungsten alloy rod are based on its very high density where it is used to control or distribute weight in some way. The product can be machined further.


Jiuding Technology can offer tungsten alloy rods and parts as counterweight, radiation shielding, military defense applications, welding rods, extrusion dies. Some sports also need alloy rods, such as darts, billets, golf club, etc. In addition, tungsten alloy can be acted as the replacement of Anviloy 1150, with very similar properties.


Tungsten alloy rods also have other usages: vacuum electric parts and it can be used as a means of high temperature structure parts. The product also for some sports fields, such as darts, billets, golf clubs, etc.

As we know, the barrel forms the main part of a dart, which is key factor of determining weight and quality of dart. Nowadays, tungsten-based heavy alloy billet is widely used as the standard barrel material, for it has a specific gravity of 19.3(20℃), making it a very dense materialwith small volume. Besides, it has superior wearing resistance, well machinability, etc.

Today's standard material for barrel is tungsten heavy alloy. For its special properties, nowadays tungsten is widely applied to make darts replacing brass. Because of technical difficulties with manufacturing, a 100% tungsten dart is not available. All "tungsten" darts you can buy are in fact made of tungsten heavy alloys

We could supply tungsten heavy alloy billets by various sizes and contents, popularly 70~90% tungsten is used for making both soft-tip and steel tip barrels, ranging from 14~18 gram and 18~40 gram respectively, and sometimes, 65% and 95~97% tungsten are offered following customers’ specific request.
