93% tungsten-nickel-copper OEM (WNiCu)

WNiFe (Tungsten-Nickel-Iron) and WNiCu (Tungsten-Nickel-Copper) alloys are types of tungsten heavy alloys (WHAs). These alloys are renowned for their high density, excellent mechanical properties, and superior corrosion resistance, making them suitable for a wide range of engineering applications. As a professional provider of precision tungsten alloy machining services, Jiuding's products are available in dozens of countries worldwide.

Key characteristics of tungsten-based heavy alloys

    1. High density: These alloys have a relatively high density, typically around 17–18 g/cm³ – close to that of lead, yet without any toxicity concerns.

    2. Mechanical properties: These materials exhibit excellent strength, hardness, and wear resistance – characteristics that are crucial in applications with stringent requirements.

    3. Corrosion resistance: The addition of nickel, copper, and iron enhances the alloy's resistance to environmental corrosion.

    4. Manufacturing: These materials can be machined, formed, and heat-treated just like other metals; however, due to their high hardness, special techniques may be required.

    Applications of tungsten-based heavy alloys

-Aerospace: Used for counterweights, shock absorbers, and other structural components.

-Defense: Components of the weapon system, such as kinetic armor-piercing projectiles and counterweights.

-Medical: Protective materials for radiation protection.

-Industrial use: balancing weights, flywheels and other precision components.

    Composition

    - WNiFe: Typically consists of approximately 70–90% tungsten, with the remainder being nickel and iron.

    - WNiCu: Contains a similar proportion of tungsten, but with nickel and copper replacing the iron.

    Manufacturing Process

These alloys are typically produced using metal injection molding (MIM) technology, in which tungsten powder is mixed with nickel, iron, or copper powder, compacted under high pressure, and then sintered at high temperatures to form a solid component.
